Clay Scalping Conveyors

Description
|
ROHR’s Clay Scalping Conveyors are designed to remove clay from
harvested aggregate at the point of extraction, thus limiting the
amount of clay conveyed to the main plant. How it works:
- The last four feet of top deck of the primary dewatering
screen (Discharge end) is replaced with a screen media of 4”
Passing. (Degree of passing may vary between applications).
- Once the harvested material is fed onto the dewatering
screen, the 1” minus aggregate passes through the top deck of
the dewatering screen to the bottom deck where the aggregate is
dewatered and fed to the material shuttle belt conveyor. The
dewatered clean aggregate is then conveyed to shore.
- The chunks of clay that remain on the top deck of the
dewatering screen are fed to a clay shuttle conveyor (Mounted
above the material shuttle conveyor) on the discharge end of the
dewatering screen.
- From the clay shuttle conveyor, the clay is conveyed to a
floating barge or dumped back into the deposit.
